THIS YEAR: Transfer Steve McIlwain is an All-GSAC candidate . . . Will be one of the Cougars' top offensive threats . . . Shoots the ball very well from the outside . . . Defends intensely . . . Had tremendous success in his JC career . . . Is a good character guy. 

CANADA COLLEGE: Was the leading scorer last season for a team that featured 4 Division I signees . . . Led Canada in scoring . . . Averaged 19 points (21 in Coast Conference play) . . . Also averaged 5 rebounds and 5 assists . . . Shot 52% from the field . . . Displayed an accurate 3-point shot, connecting at a 45% clip . . . Earned a series of accolades that included an All-American selection . . . Was an All-Coast Conference pick . . . Shot a team best 87% from the free-throw line . . .
