THIS YEAR: An outstanding athlete, Damian Raibon has given Azusa Pacific outstanding athleticism off the bench . . . One of the best leapers in the GSAC . . . Started 5 games and has come off the bench in every other game . . . Has played all five positions . . . Is an outstanding defender . . . Missed 3 games in December after suffering a stomach ailment . . . Against CS Los Angeles, scored 10 points and had 8 rebounds . . . Blocked 4 shots in win over Occidental . . . At Point Loma Nazarene, recorded his first double-double, with 10 points and 10 rebounds . . . Came back the next game with 9 points and 8 rebounds in a win over Cal Baptist . . . HIGH SCHOOL: Earned 4 varsity letters in basketball at St. Margaret’s High in San Juan Capistrano, Calif., playing for current Cougar assistant coach Garrett Ohara . . . As a 1995 senior, was named Academy League MVP, Los Angeles Times All-Orange County first team and Orange County Register All-Orange County first team . . . As a 1994 junior, was Academy League MVP and the second leading scorer in Orange County.
Named Los Angeles Times All-Orange County second team . . . As a 1993 sophomore, was selected to All-Academy League first team and was a second team All-Academy League pick during his 1992 freshman season . . . Was an All-Express League volleyball selection his 1995 senior season.
