THIS YEAR: One of 2 returning starters, senior Danny Rosales figures to enjoy a solid senior campaign now that he has a year of experience in the system … Should benefit from the arrival of Erik Soderberg and Brice Prather, which will allow him to play his more natural power forward position … Rated a strong rebounder and could be effective on offense.
2003: Started all 34 games during his first season at Azusa Pacific, averaging 5.4 points and 5.0 rebounds, second best on the team … Enjoyed his best game in only his second contest in the program, registering his only double-double of the season with 12 points and 10 rebounds against nationally-ranked Carroll College … Also had 12 points against nationally-ranked Westmont … Snagged a season-high 12 rebounds vs. Knoxville.
JUNIOR COLLEGE: Played 2 seasons at East Los Angeles Community College for head coach Jorge Calienes … As a 2002 sophomore earned all-state first team honors after finishing among the top 12 in the state in both scoring (22.0 avg.) and rebounding (10.6) … Had a single-game best of 34 points vs. Chaffey in the opening round of the state playoffs … Shot at a .538 (271-for-504) clip, which included 7 treys … Converted 75% of his free throws … Led the Huskies to a 22-11 record in 2002.
