Santa Ana CC: Played two years for the Dons as a third baseman... As a sophomore, recorded five multi-hit games... Tallied seven extra-base hits and seven steals... Against Cypress, had a singles and a triple for three RBIs... Against Golden West, went 2 for 3 with a double.

High School: Played baseball for two years on varsity at Canyon High School in Anaheim Hills under head coach Joe Hoggatt... Played middle infield... Captained the team for one year.

Personal: Parents are Curtis and Pamela Baird... Has two sisters, Erica and Heather... Father, Curtis, played baseball at San Diego State... Majoring in communications.
