2019 (junior): Appeared in 13 games all as a relief pitcher… had a 5.93 ERA with an overall record of 1-3 in 27.1 innings… allowed 18 earned runs, struck out 17 batters, and walked only five… Had two straight scoreless outings against Hawai’i Hilo (February 21 and 23)... Against rival Biola (March 23) threw 2.1 scoreless innings, striking out two batters, and giving up only one hit… Was named to Academic All-PacWest.

2018 (sophomore): Appeared in 13 games all coming out of the bullpen… had an overall record of 1-2 and had two saves while pitching a total of 20 and 1/3 innings... gave up 15 earned runs while striking out 23 batters and only walking eight… opponents batted .306 against him as he posted a 6.64 ERA… In a 4-3 win over Western Oregon (February 9), threw 2 and 2/3 scoreless innings while striking out four out of the nine batters he faced.

2017 (freshman): Did not play in any games.

2016 (redshirt): Did not play in any games.

High School: Was a two-sport athlete at Mount Pleasant High School in San Jose, Calif. ... Was a quarterback on the football team for one year under head coach Frank Lopez... Was a pitcher and third baseman on the varsity baseball team for three years under head coach Leo Newton... Captained the baseball team as a senior... In first high school game on the junior varsity team, threw a no-hitter... As a sophomore was named first team all-league after recording a 5-6 record with 43 strikeouts in 50 innings with a 3.23 ERA... As a junior had 48 strikeouts in 33 innings with a 2.97 ERA... As a senior, led the league in ERA at 0.59... Had 65 strikeouts in 35.2 innings pitched... Threw a complete game with 13 strikeouts and just three hits allowed... Against the eventual division champion, struck out 16 batters with just three hits allowed.

Personal: Born on Sept. 14, 1996 in San Jose, Calif. to John and Susan Szczesny... Has two siblings, Anthony Campos and Ashley Szczesny... Majoring in marketing... Enjoys playing sports, listening to music, and hanging out with friends.
