2021 (senior): Appeared in 10 games...struck out 16 batters while walking just three in 14.1 innings...threw three shutout innings with six strikeouts against Concordia (April 17).

2020 (senior): Appeared six times out of the bullpen for the Cougars... Tossed two shutout innings versus Concordia (February 4) in which he allowed just one hit and struck out a season-high four.

2019 (junior): Named to the All-PacWest Second Team… appeared in 19 games (1 start) mostly as a relief pitcher… led the team in innings out of the bullpen (38.1 inn.), saves (4), opponent batting average against (.106)... had a 2.95 ERA with a 3-1 record… gave up 13 earned runs while tallying 33 strikeouts… In a 4-3 regional game win against Cal St. Monterey Bay (May 17), Aversa picked up the win while throwing four scoreless innings, giving up only one hit, and striking out three… In a 7-4 win over rival Biola (March 30), Aversa pitched the last three innings for the Cougars striking out three and allowing no runs to pick up his second save on the season… Was named to Academic All-PacWest.

2018(sophomore): Appeared in 13 games all out of the bullpen… Had a 4.18 ERA to go with an overall record of 3-1, he also had three saves… Pitched a total of 28 innings giving up 13 earned runs, racked up 20 strikeouts and walked only five batters… In a 7-2 win over Western Oregon (February 9), Aversa picked up his second save of the season after pitching three shutout innings and had a season high four strikeouts to close out the victory for the Cougars… In a 18-4 win over Hawaii Pacific (April 14), pitched 5 and 1/3 shutout innings while striking out three and allowing no walks to pick up his second win of the season

Cypress College (2015-2017): Played two seasons for coach Scott Pickler and Anthony Hutting... In his freshman campaign, appeared in 15 games pitching 24 innings with 16 strikeouts and finished the season with a 1.88 ERA.

High School: Graduated from Fountain Valley High School in Fountain Valley, Calif... Played one varsity season for coach Deric Yanagisawa…Named to Sunset League All-Academic Team…Earned Bryce Dickerson Award…helped team to 2nd place in Sunset League... Had a 3.65 ERA and also posted a .318 batting average in his one varsity year...Pitched the 1st perfect game in school history.
