2018 (junior): Russ appeared in 50 games, starting 41 of them, 40 at first base and one as a designated hitter… posted a .299 batting average, lead the team in on-base percentage at .474 (min. 100 at-bats), and was second on the team with a 1.092 OPS (min. 100 at-bats)... was third on the team in home runs with 11, second on the team in walks with 36, and was tied for second on the team in triples with two… was third on the team in slugging percentage at .618 (min 100 at-bats), second on the team in hit-by-pitches with 14, was tied for second on the team in 2-out RBI with 17… he also racked up nine doubles and 40 RBI… In a 17-4 win over California Baptist (April 19), Russ went 2-for-5 with two home runs and seven RBI, which included a three-run home run in the first inning, followed up by a grand slam in the third inning… In a 14-9 win over Dixie State (March 3), went 3-for-4 with four RBI and two runs scored, which included a solo home run in the second inning, followed up by a triple in the 8th inning that knocked in a pair.

University of Southern California (2016-2017): Played two seasons for coach Dan Hubbs... Appeared in two games off the bench in his freshman year... In his sophomore season appeared in 20 games, starting nine... Posted a .243 batting average with four RBI and one home run.

High School: Graduated from Hart High School in Santa Clarita, Calif... Played three varsity seasons for coach Jim Ozella... In his senior year posted a .365 batting average with seven home runs leading his team to the CIF Southern Section Division I finals... Was named first team All-League, second team Louisville Slugger HS All-American and was an All-CIF Second Team honoree.
