2019 (sophomore): Benter posted a decorated sophomore campaign… Named to Don Hansen Super Region 4 third-team and was an All-GNAC first team selection… Benter finished with three sacks and 26 total tackles, with 10 solos, 16 assisted and five tackles for loss… His three sacks were the seventh most in the GNAC, and he was top-20 in the conference in tackles for loss… Recorded a season-high 7 tackles against #9 Colorado School of Mines, and also had 2 sacks against Simon Fraser… Named to the GNAC All-Academic Team with a 3.70 GPA… Played in 10 games.

2018 (freshman): Played in all 12 games, starting 10… had 3.5 tackles for loss, including 1.5 sacks in 28-17 win at Western Oregon Sept. 15… season-high eight tackles in 7-6 Homecoming win over Western Oregon Oct. 27… finished season with 34 tackles and four sacks

HIGH SCHOOL:   Played three seasons of varsity football for head coach Scott Morrison at Santiago High in Corona, Calif. … Was a 2-time All-Big VIII selection, including first-team honors as a 2017 senior when he led the Sharks with a team-high 137 tackles (102 solo), including 18 for loss … Registered a career-high 20 tackles in a loss to rival Norco High … Had 16 tackles in a win over King High and another 9 tackles, along with a career-high 3 sacks, in a shutout victory over Temecula Valley … Guided the Sharks to a 7-4 record … As a 2016 junior, appeared in 10 games and was second on the team with 105 tackles, recovering two fumbles and forcing another … Recorded a season-high 14 tackles in a win over Citrus Hill … Also lettered two seasons in varsity baseball at Santiago … Was a three-time all-academic league honoree.
