THIS YEAR:  Senior Angela James is a solid defensive midfielder with good technical ability … Provides the versatility to be used both as a starter and off the bench. 

2005:  Appeared in all 22 games … Made a career-high 13 starts … Scored her first collegiate goal in the Cougars’ win over Whittier (Sept. 10) … Took 13 shots. 

2004:  Saw action in 15 games last season … Made 7 starts … Recorded the first 2 points of her collegiate career with a pair of assists … Had her first assist in the Cougars’ 3-0 win over Fresno Pacific (Sept. 29) … Assisted on a goal in a 6-1 over Christian Heritage … Started 7 of 8 games during a mid-season stretch in GSAC play … Took 5 shots.

2003:  Appeared in 13 games, all as a reserve midfielder … Saw action in 6 of the Cougars’ final 7 games … Did not register a point. 

HIGH SCHOOL:  Prepped 4 varsity seasons at Bellevue (Wash.) High for head coach Larry Royce … Was a 4-time All-Chinook League selection … Led the Vikings to a pair of runner-up finishes in the state tournament … Named all-state first team as a 2003 senior after registering a pair of assists and leading the Vikings to a Chinook League championship and a runner-up finish in the state tournament … Also ran 2 seasons of track (sprints, relays) and 1 season of softball (second base). 

PERSONAL:  Born April 24, 1984, in San Jose, Calif., to David and Ruth James … Has 1 brother (Christopher) … Majoring in marketing and would like to be a marketing rep after graduation … Was a member of the national honor society while carrying a 3.6 GPA.
