THIS YEAR: Senior Aurion Sanchez returns to the Cougars after sitting out last year with a torn knee ligament ... Has a quality bat that allows her to be clutch in pinch-hit situations ... Battling for time in left field.

2002: Sat out her 2002 junior season with a knee injury suffered during fall workouts.

2001: Appeared in 20 games of her 2001 sophomore year, gathering 6 RBIs while batting .257 ... Best single-game outing was against Concordia where she was 3-for-3 with a double.

2000: Saw limited action as a 2000 freshman, appearing in 13 games, all off the bench ... Drove in 2 runs with her first career hit in a 7-6 loss to Point Loma ... Tallied her second hit in her next plate appearance, smacking a single in a 9-0 victory over La Verne.

HIGH SCHOOL: Graduated from Northview High School in West Covina, Calif., in 1999 ... Named All-Valle Vista League second team after batting .305 in her 1999 senior campaign ...
