THIS YEAR: Senior Jaime Norman has developed into an excellent catcher during her career at Azusa Pacific and could prove to be an All-GSAC honoree by the season's end... Has a good arm and received high marks for her defensive play, committing just 4 errors in 425 chances in 3 seasons ... Calls an excellent game ... Noted for her bat control which typically puts her at No. 2 in the line-up.

2001: Batted a career-high .260 with 8 doubles (third best on the team) and 7 stolen bases ... Registered a team-high 20 sacrifice hits ... Was 3-for-3 with 3 RBIs and a double in a 9-2 victory over William Woods (Mo.), capping a 5-game stretch in which she went 9-for-14 (.643) with 3 runs, 4 RBIs and a double ... Threw out 9 would-be base stealers ... Committed just 2 errors in 191 chances.

2000: Appeared in 58 of the Cougars' 65 games, starting 57 behind the plate ? Did not commit an error in 207 chances ... Threw out 13 of 40 would-be base-stealers ... Hit safely in the final 4 games of the season, all at the NAIA Championship Tournament ... Went 2-for-3 with 2 runs in an 8-0 win over UC Riverside.

1999: Started 35 games as a freshman ... Threw out 17 runners in 48 attempts ... Put together a pair of 4-game hitting streaks over a 10-game stretch in the final month of the season ... Stole 9 bases in 10 attempts ... Drove in all 3 runs in a 9-3 loss to UC San Diego ... Went 2-for-3 with 2 runs and 2 RBIs plus tallied her only triple of the season in an 11-0 GSAC victory over Cal Baptist ... A solid contact hitter, struck out just 6 times in 89 at-bats. 1998: Redshirted the 1998 season.

HIGH SCHOOL: Graduated from Charter Oak High in Covina, Calif., in 1997 ... Played softball, basketball and tennis for the Chargers ... As a senior earned All-Miramonte League recognition and team MVP honors in softball ... Led the Chargers to a pair of league titles.

PERSONAL: Born Dec. 3, 1978, to Jim (electrician) and Judy (accountant) Salazar ... Majoring in physical education with an emphasis in athletic training ... Married Scott Norman in June of 2001.
