THIS YEAR: One of the top players in the GSAC, 3-time all-conference pick Jennie Waleszonia returns to her more natural second base position after primarily playing shortstop the past 2 seasons … Is a career .321 hitter and ranks among Azusa Pacific's all-time bests in home runs (11) … Has a deceptively powerful bat from the left side … Will bat in the middle of the line-up … Outstanding fielder with excellent fundamentals … Known for her consistency … Could push for All-American recognition.

2002: For the third season in a row was named All-GSAC first team … As a 2002 junior appeared in 46 of 53 of the Cougars' games, starting in 45 … Batted .317 with 24 RBIs … Was second on the team in stolen bases (11) … Compiled 6 doubles and 2 triples … In a victory over St. Thomas, was 3-for-4, with 2 home runs and 3 RBIs.

2001: Named All-GSAC first team for the second straight season after teaming with fellow Cougar Lorna Lyttle to lead the GSAC in homeruns (7) while batting .315 … Also led the GSAC with a school-record tying 9 triples and tallied a team-best 37 RBIs (along with Lorna Lyttle again) … Batted a team-high .333 in GSAC play with 4 homeruns and 16 RBIs in 24 games … Registered a team-high .631 slugging percentage … Opened the campaign with a career-best 11-game hitting streak (.485/16-for-33) and hit safely in 18 of the first 19 games … Was 2-for-3 with 6 RBIs, thanks to a pair of homeruns, in a 7-1 vistory over U. of San Diego … Lifted Azusa Pacific to a 4-0 victory over eventual GSAC champ Biola with a 3-run homerun … Was perfect 6-for-6 in stolen bases.

2000: Named all-GSAC first team … Started all 68 games at second base for the NAIA runner-up Cougars … Tallied a team-high 5 triples … Finished second on the team in batting (.340), but was the top hitter in GSAC play with a .403 (25-for-62) average … Had 15 multiple-hit games, including a 4-for-4 performance in a 5-3 victory over Hawaii Pacific, helping the Cougars with the Ko'olau Classic Softball Tournament in Kaneohe, Hawaii … Put together hitting streaks of 8 and 9 games … Went 2-for-4 with a double, a triple, 2 runs and 3 RBIs in a 7-6 loss to San Diego … Was a perfect 15-for-15 on the base paths to finish second on the team in stolen bases.

HIGH SCHOOL: Played 4 years of softball (second base) and 1 season of volleyball (setter) at A.B. Miller High School in Fontana, Calif., from which she graduated in 1999 … Was a 3-time All-Citrus Belt League first team second baseman … Named league MVP her junior season.
