Azusa Pacific Men’s Basketball Unveils 2025-26 Schedule

APU opens the B.J. Porter era with a challenging non-conference slate before diving into PacWest play.

AZUSA, Calif. — Azusa Pacific announced its 2025-26 schedule on Monday, marking the debut season for first-year head coach B.J. Porter. The Cougars will take on a competitive blend of regional non-conference opponents and a full 22-game Pacific West Conference slate as they aim to make their mark under new leadership.

APU tips off the season Nov. 14-15 at the Conference Crossover in Pomona, facing Chico State and Cal Poly Pomona on back-to-back nights. It returns home Nov. 26 for their home opener against Cal State San Marcos at the Felix Event Center before welcoming Cal State San Bernardino on Nov. 29.

The PacWest schedule begins Dec. 2 with a home matchup against Menlo, followed by key December home contests against Chaminade (Dec. 17) and Point Loma (Dec. 20). January features a heavy slate of conference action, highlighted by a rivalry clash with Biola on Jan. 8 in Azusa. Other notable home games include Jessup (Jan. 10), Hawai'i Hilo (Jan. 29), and Dominican (Jan. 31).

They will also make the traditional Hawai'i road trip in mid-February, facing Chaminade (Feb. 17), Hawai'i Pacific (Feb. 19), and Hawai'i Hilo (Feb. 21). The regular season concludes with a home matchup against Westmont (Feb. 26) before closing on the road at Biola (Feb. 28).

"This schedule is a great test for us right out of the gate," said Porter. "We'll face some tough non-conference opponents before jumping into a PacWest slate that's competitive from top to bottom. Our guys are eager to get started and compete at a high level."

The 2026 PacWest Tournament will be held March 5–7 in San Diego, hosted by Point Loma at Golden Gym.
