TyLee Manuel has been named this week's PacWest Player of the week. In three games for the Cougars, Manuel averaged 14.7 points, 4.7 rebounds, one block, and nearly one steal a game. From the floor, Manuel shot 65.5%, going 19-for-29.

Manuel opened the week with a career-high 31 points, finishing an incredible 13-for-14 from the floor, in the Cougars' 93-70 road win at previously unbeaten Cal State Los Angeles last Tuesday. This past Friday, Manuel helped Azusa Pacific earn an upset victory over #1 Western Washington, scoring eight points, grabbing four rebounds, and blocking three shots. In the Cougars' final game of the week on Saturday against Seattle Pacific, Manuel hauled in eight rebounds and dished out a pair of assists.

Through five games this season, Manuel is leading the conference in field goal percentage (62.7%), is fourth in the conference in scoring (15 ppg), and 11th in rebounding (7.0 rpg).

Azusa Pacific has started the season with a 3-2 record, and the Cougars will take the court again tomorrow, when they visit Saint Martin's in Lacey, Wash. The game will tip-off at 3:00 pm, and it can be watched live on YouTube.
