AZUSA, Calif. — Azusa Pacific women's soccer defender, Mackenzie Coleman, was honored for the first time this season as the PacWest Defender of the Week. Coleman led the Cougars defense to two shutouts and a pair of conference wins over Hawaii Hilo and Hawaii Pacific this past week to earn the award.

Coleman leads the Cougars in total minutes played and has been the anchor of Azusa Pacific's defense so far this season. Coleman has been a big part of the Cougars success playing central defense and helping Azusa Pacific five clean sheets so far this season.

On top of her stellar defending, Coleman also recorded two shots and one on goal this past week and played 175 of a possible 180 minutes leading Azusa Pacific to a 2-0 week in conference play and helped the Cougars improve to 7-2 overall this season.
