IRVINE, Calif. -- #4 Azusa Pacific defeated Concordia 2-1 on Saturday afternoon, as the Cougars improved to 5-0 this season. While the game was between fellow PacWest members, the game was a non-conference affair.

Azusa Pacific jumped out to an early 1-0 lead, as sophomore
Gregoire Diep found the back of the net in the 14
th minute for his first goal of the season. The Cougars would add another goal before the end of the first half, as junior
David Kwinn scored his fourth goal in just five games. Kwinn was assisted on the play by freshman Daniel Osei-Tutu, as he recorded his second assist of his collegiate career.

Concordia would find its way onto the scoreboard in the 62
nd minute as Michael Oakson was assisted by Erick Correa. The goal would be the Eagles only in the contest.

Azusa Pacific outshot Concordia 10-5, with the Cougars putting four attempts in goal, while the Eagles had just two.

The fourth-ranked Cougars are in the midst of six straight matches away from home, with five more games to go. Up next, Azusa Pacific will travel to the Pacific Northwest for a pair of games, as it faces Western Washington on Thursday, Sept. 26, followed by a meeting with Seattle Pacific on Saturday, Sept. 28.
