GOLDEN, Colo. – Azusa Pacific track & field opened up the indoor season on Thursday, as the Cougars competed at the Mines Alumni Classic & Multi meet. Azusa Pacific had multiple student-athletes post NCAA provisional marks during day one of the two-day competition.

A pair of Cougars performed well enough for provisional marks in the pole vault, as Amanda Fassold and Abigail Gray each cleared the height of 3.81m (12' 6"). Fassold placed second overall, and Gray was tied for third.

On the men's side, Raymon Harper hit a provisional mark in the long jump. He opened the season with a jump of 7.15m (23' 5 ½"). He finished fifth out of 26 competitors.

Lincoln Krog completed day one of the men's heptathalon, and through the first four events, he is on pace for a provisional mark with 2,917 points. The heptathalon resumes tomorrow, where the competition wraps up with the 60 meter hurdles, pole vault and 1000 meters. Krog is currently in fourth place overall.

Azusa Pacific will have athletes at two different meets in Colorado tomorrow, as day two of the Mines Alumni Classic & Multi Meet continues in Golden, while others will be competing at the Holiday Open Air Force Academy meet in Colorado Springs.
