AZUSA, Calif. – Azusa Pacific and Hawai'i Hilo played to a 0-0 tie after 110 minutes of action on Monday night, as the Cougars are now 6-5-2 overall, and 2-3-1 in PacWest play.

While the final score was even, the Cougars dominated in nearly all phases of the match. Azusa Pacific took 25 shots in the match, while the Vulcans had just five total shots in the game. The Cougars had 12 shots in the first half, 10 in the second half, and three in the first overtime period. Hawai'i Hilo did not have a shot through the first 45 minutes of action, as all five of the Vulcans' opportunities came in the second half and overtime.

Azusa Pacific was also able to create a significant number of corner kicks in the first half, as the Cougars had 11 opportunities through the first 45 minutes.

Defensively, the Cougars played a complete game, as goalkeeper
Isabelle Decker made her first appearance of the season and posted two saves, while the backline limited legitimate threats all match and allowed just two shots on goal. Hawai'i Hilo did not have a shot through the first 45 minutes of action, as all five of the Vulcans' opportunities came in the second half and overtime. Of Decker's two saves, one came in the final two minutes of action, as Hilo's Christina Kanellou took a shot in the 109
th minute to the bottom right corner of the goal, which Decker stopped to preserve the tie game.

Five different Cougars were able to get shots on goal, as
Emmy Koflanovich and
Kayla Grisham each had two shots on goal, while
Randi Macadangdang,
Mackenzie Coleman, and
Kaylee Nicoll each put a shot on frame.

Azusa Pacific continues its five match homestand on Saturday, Nov. 2 at 1:00 p.m., when the Cougars take on Chaminade. The final home match of the season will be on Tuesday, Nov. 5, as the Cougars host rival Biola in the Cornerstone Cup at 5:00 p.m.
