AZUSA, Calif. -- Zoe March earned WBCA (Women's Basketball Coaches Association) NCAA Division II All-America honorable mention honors.
March led the nation in assist-to-turnover ratio (3.40-to-1). Her 143 assists were first on Azusa Pacific, as well as 31st nationwide.
"Zoe has a significant impact on the game in many different facets. She was instrumental in our team's success this season, being a consistent performer, bringing the effort, energy and talent required to be a championship team," said head coach T.J. Hardeman.
The sophomore recorded a double-double in a win against Western Washington (Nov. 18), tying her career-high of 11 assists to go along with 18 points. March also finished second on the team in steals (63), tallying a career-high seven steals in a win vs. Point Loma (Dec. 2). In a defeat over Dominican, March set a new career-high in scoring, finishing with 25 points, while also dishing out seven assists.
March joins Kelly Hardeman (2015-16), as the only other Azusa Pacific player to receive honorable mention or All-American Honors from the WBCA.
The native of Reedley, Calif. was also voted to the PacWest all-conference team.
The Cougars finished the season 27-5, winning the PacWest regular season title and earning the number one seed in the West Region, for the NCAA Division II National Basketball Championship Tournament.
