The No. 4 seed UC San Diego Tritons earned a 11-3 win over the West Regional Championship host Azusa Pacific Cougars.
With the win, UC San Diego will take on the No. 3 seed Dixie State Trailblazers, needing just one win to secure the West Regional championship.
The Tritons were led by center fielder Brandon Shirley who went 3-for-4, drove in three runs, and scored two of his own. Starting pitcher Kyle Goodbrand earned the win after going six and two third innings, allowing just two runs on three hits. He struck out seven Cougar hitters on his way to his fifth win of the season.

The Cougars couldn't get much going in the contest after a 10-run performance in their win against Cal Poly Pomona earlier in the day. They received their production from designated hitter
Sean Aspinall  who drove in two of the teams three runs in the second inning on a two run home run. Third baseman
Adrian Tovalin hit a solo home run in the ninth inning; his 21st of the season and moves him to fifth in NCAA Division II. The Cougars used seven different pitchers, but allowed 11 runs on eight hits.
Azusa Pacific ends their season with a 42-12 overall record.
