LAIE, Hawaii – Nobody left the pitch happy.
Azusa Pacific scored early and BYU-Hawaii knotted later in the first half as the teams played to a 1-1 draw on Monday afternoon.
For the Cougars it is their second of four games during their Hawaiian Island trip. It is the first PacWest tie for the Cougars since the first conference game of the 2015 season against Dixie State.
Azusa Pacific's record moves to 6-5-3 overall and 6-3-1 in league contests. The Seasiders, in their final season of NCAA competition, goes to 5-5-4 and 4-4-3 respectively.

Both teams had a tough time finding their offensive rhythm throughout the contest. Each team took just two corners with each squad putting three shots on frame.
The Cougars grabbed the early lead in the fourth minute when Callum Wallace struck a ball outside the box that bent towards the goal and through the goal keeper Dwayne Wittman's hands. Tim Ogunniyi started the play with a nice feed to Wallace from the right side.
With just under 15 minutes left until halftime the Seasiders found the equalizer. Daniel Corbett took advantage of some miscommunication along the Azusa Pacific backlines. He controlled the ball 15 yards in front of the cage and beat Cougars goal keeper Jorge Pesquera one-on-one.
In the second half each team had a chance for the game-winner but a hit post by BYU-Hawaii and a strong shot by Kaleb Armbrust that just missed the upper-ninety.
In the 80th minute Azusa Pacific was forced to go down a player when a red card was issued to Ogunniyi.
The Seasiders had two good chances in the extra sessions but each opportunities but each time the play developed the home lost control of a bouncing ball.
