4 Goals for 4 Wins

EL CAJON, Calif. -- Four different Cougars scored in the first half as the NAIA's No. 3-ranked Azusa Pacific easily cruised to a 4-0 GSAC win at Christian Heritage Saturday afternoon in El Cajon.

The win keeps the Cougars unbeaten and moves them to 10-0-1 overall, 4-0 GSAC. Christian Heritage drops to 3-7-1, 0-4.

The Cougars dominated the ball for most of the afternoon outshooting the Hawks, 22-4. Julian Cotrell, making his first start since Sept. 15 against Pomona-Pitzer, needed to make just 1 save to get the win and post the Cougars' fourth shutout of the season.

Ian Leibbrandt got the ball rolling in the second minute of the game when scored his seventh goal of the season off an assist by Brandon Stirm.

The Cougars were stoned over the next 28 minutes before erupting for 3 more goals in an 11 minute span near the end of the first half. Stirm lent a helping hand again—this time assisting on Chandler Harris' first goal of the season in the 30th minute. Harris becomes the 16th Cougar to collect a point this year.

Ten minutes after Harris scored, a pair of freshmen got into the act when Ferguson Agwu finished a Kolt Callaway assist for his sixth goal of the season.

Just a minute later, Andriy Budnyy took a Skelly Kellar pass and lifted it over Hawk GK Jordan Smith's head and just under the crossbar for his ninth goal in just 6 games this year. It was Kellar's team-leading seventh assist.

The Cougars travel to Riverside Tuesday for a 3 p.m. game with California Baptist.
