ORANGE, CALIF. -- All-American Kenda Payne scored in the 58th minute on a ricochet off the post to lead the NAIA's No. 5-ranked Azusa Pacific to a 1-0 victory at Chapman.

The Cougars controlled the entire game and collected 26 shots but managed just 1 goal. The Cougars defense thwarted Chapman, limiting the Panthers to just 2 shots.

Azusa Pacific has now won 5 straight and hands Chapman its first loss in 5 games this season. Payne's goal is also the first allowed by Chapman this season.
