AZUSA, CALIF. -- William Hidalgo scored in the 34th minute and the Cal Baptist defense made that stand as the Lancers upset the NAIA's No. 18-ranked Azusa Pacific, 1-0, in a GSAC game in Azusa Saturday afternoon.

The victory is Cal Baptist's first over the Cougars since 1994, snapping an 8-game losing streak to Azusa Pacific. Meanwhile, Azusa Pacific had its 6-game winning streak snapped.

Azusa Pacific had a couple of point-blank opportunities to score in the first half but was unable to convert either one. The Cougars out-shot Cal Baptist, 15-7.
