It's a Regal Effort in Azusa

AZUSA, CALIF. - California Lutheran continued its best start in school history with a come-from-behind 75-76 victory over Azusa Pacific in Azusa, Thursday night.

Junior guard Nikole Albert let the Regals with a team-high 17 points, but it was sophomore center Evi Orologas who spurred a 16-4 Regal run with less than five minutes in the game with six of her 14 points. Orologas, who left the game with her fourth foul less than four minutes into the second half, returned with four minutes left in the game to lead the Regals back from a 57-52 deficit to a 68-61 lead with 2:28 left to play.

Freshman guard Christy Brock led Azusa Pacific with a career-high 27 points, including 18 in the second half when she led Azusa Pacific back from a 37-35 halftime deficit.

The victory, which was Cal Lutheran second ever in 20 trips to Azusa, improved its record to 6–0, while Azusa Pacific fell to 2–5. Dating back to last year, the Regals have now won a school-record eighth straight games.
