  • ALMA MATER
    UCLA

Cindy Adams is entering her seventh season as the diving coach at Azusa Pacific. The UCLA graduate was a four-year member of the Bruins' nationally renowned diving program, and began her coaching career for the Mission Viejo Nadadores in 2001.

Adams has coached five different divers to the NCAA Championships, including Kianna Mourer, who was a three-time All-American honorable mention performer and a three-time Pacific Coast Swimming Conference champion in both the one- and three-meter events, and Amy Crayne, who became the first ever Cougar diver to reach the podium at Nationals with a sixth-place finish in the three-meter dive at the 2020 NCAA Division II Swimming & Diving National Championships. Crayne, who was named a CSCCA All-American and the PCSC Diver of the Year, was the 2020 PCSC Champion in both the one- and three-meter events.

Adams produced two more All-Americans in addition to Crayne during the 2019-20 campaign, as Melia Stout and McKenna Webster also received the distinction after qualifying for competition at Nationals in the one- and three-meter events. For Webster, it marked the second time in her career that she qualified for Nationals, as she was a 2018 All-American honorable mention for qualifying in both the one- and three-meter events.

Adams has received multiple awards over her career, including the 2015-16 PCSC Coach of the Year, and the 2020 PCSC Championships Diving Coach of the Meet.

Cindy resides in Mission Viejo, and has been married to her husband, Cedric, for over 25 years. The two have three daughters, Casey, Samantha, and Delaney. Cindy enjoys running, watching sports, and playing cards.
