AZUSA, Calif. – The ITA West Regional championship makes a stop at Azusa Pacific this weekend as the Munson & Bavougian Tennis Complex as Azusa Pacific will host some of the best collegiate talent from Sept. 28- Sept. 30.
Participates and fans should be aware that men will play their early round matches at Biola University in La Mirada, Calif. on Thursday and the women will be at Azusa Pacific and Citrus College.
Scoring in singles will be best two out of three sets with a 10-point super tiebreaker for matches in a third set while all doubles matches will be an eight-game pro set.
The winners of singles and doubles will move on to ITA Nationals in Rome, Georiga.
According to the Intercollegiate Tennis Association, the ITA Regional Championships feature some of the top men's and women's players across the country. Over 8,000 student-athletes from NCAA Division I,II,III, NAIA, Junior and Community Colleges compete across 85 USTA/ITA Regional Championships around the country.
